Begin your journey with train tickets from Kyōto or Tōkyō to Nakatsugawa, including a ride on the world-famous bullet train to Nagoya. Board a local bus to Magome, then walk over the scenic Magometōge Pass to Tsumago, one of the best-preserved Nakasendō post towns. This charming village transports you back to the Edo Period with its authentic wooden buildings and traditional atmosphere. Spend the night at a family-run minshuku, enjoying delicious home-cooked Japanese dinner. After your meal, stroll through the magical quiet village streets wearing the yukata gown supplied by your inn.
